From "the factory", Fiat Spiders came with a nice quality and long-lasting shock made by one of the many individual "supplier" companies that Fiat owned. But as times changed Fiat sold off several of those companies that had produced individual components and because of this, the "original" shocks were discontinued and ceased to be made several years ago. After that, the only alternatives were an inexpensive (and in our opinion rough riding and low quality) Japanese made shock OR the ultra-expensive, Koni brand made in Holland. Caribou, in fact, simply stopped selling the Japanese brand shock due to quality concerns and customer "observations" about the ride quality, and good as they are, who wants to pay $400 or more for a set of Konis?

Due to this lack of an affordable, quality shock for Spiders, we took it upon ourselves to find a solution. After contacting several manufacturers, we found Gabriel willing to produce a shock that was a Fiat Spider-specific application, using their newest low-pressure gas technology and able to be sold at an affordable price!
