 Our Replacement Retractable Seat Belts come in
colors to match your Fiat's interior and you can
choose a belt for either the "3-point" application (lap
and shoulder belt) or the earlier style "2-point" belt
(lap belt only). Each belt will work in either the driver or passenger position in your car.
These retractable seatbelts meet the
Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) #209 & #302 so you
and your family can have the comfort of knowing that your new
seatbelts meet the Federal safety standards!
SAFETY NOTE: The "original" seat belts in a 1976
Spider are now almost 30 years old! And even the belts in your 1981
Spider are pushing 25! One major car manufacturer recommends
replacing seat belts at 10-year intervals. Seat belts must be maintained, inspected and
eventually replaced because they degenerate over time and from exposure to the elements. Prolonged exposure of seat-belt webbing and thread to sunlight
(such as in a convertible) can cause degradation of the fibers and loss of restraint
integrity. Old and weakened belts could easily snap under the loads imposed upon them in a crash. A belt system that “looks” good enough is not worth your safety. By comparison, a new set of belts is cheap compared to the possible damage an old set could cause.

 3-Point Convertible Seat Belt - Replace your dirty, old
grungy, worn or frayed seat belts with these "3-point belts"
(both lap
and over the shoulder) that are specifically designed to be
installed in convertible Spiders. Our belts extend a full 140
inches, unlike some other vendors belts which only go about 121
inches, so you are able to use the full travel of your seat and
enjoy a comfortable driving position.

2-Point
Convertible Seat Belt - These are a 2-point retractable lap belt
with buckle (no shoulder harness). This a short
"stalk" end, which is best with the low seat
configuration of our Spiders. The belts extend to 50 inches and of course
they are also Federally approved! Easily installed in minutes by reusing the original bolts and
hardware from your existing belt, our new 2-point belt will make
visually increase the appeal of your Spider while most importantly
providing you and your passenger an additional margin of safety.
NOTE: These belts can be used in Fiat 850 Spiders also!
