Bilstein performance speaks for itself... |
Bilstein
High-Pressure Gas Shocks FastFacts...
Born to perform! Bilstein is the world leader in the development of gas pressure shocks. For the performance minded driver, Bilstein shocks deliver absolute mastery of the road due to the instantaneously self-adjustment to changing road surfaces. The self-adjusting working piston and spring steel discs precisely regulate oil flow and piston self-adjustment for precise dampening, all with no springs or check valves to wear out. Performance does not decline from age, use or heat requiring no manual compensating adjustments as with conventional units. The patented nitrogen chamber and dividing piston represents a break-through technology that virtually eliminates oil foaming and performance fade. The superior seal design prevents leakage even under pressures of 360 psi. The Bilstein heavy duty valves provide improved
handling and stability without sacrificing the ride. The superior damping ability makes them ideal
for heavy hauling or occasional off-road use - while still maintaining an exceptional "street" feel. Precision made in Germany, the legendary Bilsteins are the highest quality shocks made worldwide and feature a Lifetime Warranty. For more warranty information please click here: warranty info |

EBC "Greenstuff" Kevlar Brake Pads and Slotted Brake Rotors
offer the ultimate in braking ability for your 914!Our Kevlar Green pads features a high Kevlar content formulation resulting in an ultra high performance road pad which is extremely kind to discs. With a friction co-efficient of around 0.46µ and high resistance to brake fade (at a continuous 1000º F) this pad is a superb upgrade for high performance street cars, high speed freeway use and consecutive heavy braking. And as if that's not enough, visible brake pad dust on your wheels is virtually eliminated... these pads do not "dust"!
Our high-quality slotted rotors take race car braking and agility to the "street"! By employing a slotted rotor design, these rotors reduce the gas build-up and pneumatic cushion that occurs when rotors and pads rub together during braking. The slotted vents pump away friction generated gas and relieve heat build-up giving you greater braking power and efficiency when you need it most.
You can use our Kevlar Brake Pads and Slotted Rotors separately from each other, but used together they provide an unbeatable braking experience!
Kevlar Green has won many awards from UK magazines, and was rated #1 fast road car brakes by UK's largest circulation motorsport magazine, Max Power, in 1999.
Features and Benefits of Kevlar Green:
upgrades brake performance by 30-50%, friction co-efficient of 0.46µ excellent initial bite resulting in instant response - no warm-up needed class-leading fade resistance on the street - heat stable to a blistering 1000º F extremely low disc abrasion - due to high Kevlar content low dust formula, great for alloys - due to zero carbon content low vibration - smooth operation Front Kevlar brake pad set for 914/4, 1970-1976, #DP2104, $59.50
Slotted Brake Rotors
Performance gains of "Slotting"
At high braking temperatures gas is expelled by the brake pads (known as
"out-gassing") which forms a barrier between the pad and rotor. The out-gassing effectively pushes the pad away from the rotor reducing brake efficiency.
Slotting improves brake pad to rotor contact by effectively reducing brake pad
out-gassing by providing an exit path for those gases. Additionally
"slotting" prevents brake fade, glazing, dissipates water under wet weather conditions, increases bite and evens pad wear which reduces rotor scoring.
Slotted rotors are sold in pairs (left
and right sides) only as each rotor is "cut" to be specifically
mounted on a particular side
pair Slotted Front Brake Rotors for 914/4 (1970-02/1972), #SS3440-2, $184.50
